This portion of the site is used for distributing various working draft interim products of the SAE ATIS committee to interested parties as per the normal ITS sharing between standards developing organizations (SDO). It also is used for distributing various work products that will never becomes “standards” but are created as part of the SAE / SCSC effort to perform under the DOT-FHWA cooperative development agreement.

When more final work products are created or become mature (such as a draft documents to be balloted) then these products are only available by means of the normal SAE web sites to committee members. They are expressly not available here, nor have they ever been. Once a work product becomes an actual published standard, you can obtain it directly from www.sae.org

Recently there have been concerns raised by some staff members of SAE regarding how standards information is shared with others outside the immediate committee membership. SAE remains committed to the need to exchange this type of information with others involved in ITS, but the specific details of this are now being reviewed. SubCarrier Systems Corporation, as a contractor to SAE in developing these standards, respects the SAEs needs in this regard and wishes to protect the interests of our client in this process. Until SAE gets their position and policy regarding how draft information of the ATIS committee is to be shared with other materially affected parties, the file listings will be kept offline.
