The Registry Output Converter is a self contained application used to convert textual dumps from the original on-line IEEE data registry into various useful formats, including those used by Mini-Edit. Because the on-line IEEE data registry has been decommissioned, it is no longer needed or employed by Mini-Edit users. It is included here for completeness, and because it can be launched from the Mini-Edit main screen by pressing the Import... button.

Aside: If we move to another on-line registry system, this tool will still not be needed because the file formats used will differ.  In the original IEEE registry system, a unique token delimited data style was used as the exchange formats, and hence this tool was developed.  It is likely that any such a system designed today will upload and download sets of records and tables transparently to the user, further eliminating the need for such a tool.

If you are interested in the outdated data concepts from this period, see the files at www.itsware.net/miniedit/RegistryDumps/
