Overall Formating Style

The Overall Style Setting area deals with selecting the gross style and description that will be used by the run. It basically re-sets many of the controls and switches and establishes the basic flow of the document in keeping with the practices and habits of each SDO. From the SDO-centric starting point, any remaining switch settings needed for that specific run can then be set.

1Built In Simple Format

Built In Simple Format A rudimentary format where the common tables are all rendered out. A good starting point if you are building a new format style. In the 14 steps that this style builds, all the commonly named tables are exported in a simple style. This more or less matches the overall style that SAE uses.

2IEEE Formats

IEEE Formats The formatting styles of the IEEE are handled here. Two formats are provided, the P (for draft) document style currently used in the Incident Management (1512) work and other standards of IEEE, and classic used with the older two-table style of documents.

3APTA TCIP Formats

APTA TCIP Formats APTA (in charge of the TCIP effort) enjoys three formatting buttons, all of which reflect various needs in producing the TCIP standard. This is one of the standards where the XML is rendered in a collection at the end rather then with every record as is done in other SDOs.

4SAE Formats

SAE Formats The SAE uses its three button styles to produce several standards: ATIS, ITIS, LRMS and DSRC. The J button (J stands for ground standards in the SAE world) is the primary one used. The classic button provides the two table styles of rendering for backward compatibility. The ITIS button performs some unique formatting required by the ITIS codes.

5NTCIP Format

NTCIP Format The NTCIP button provides a set of formats to be used when NTCIP objects (MIBs) need to be converted into a FADD like standard (this occurred when other standards such as TMDD or ATIS need to use the NTCIP objects in their own work).  Reserved for future growth at this time.

6ITE TMDD Formats

ITE TMDD Formats The ITE-TMDD button provides a set of formats which are useful in rendering the TMDD documents.
