Startup Screen

This is the basic flash-screen which appears when Mini-Edit is first run. It shows the revision of the tool you are using. In the upper right corner are the "days remaining" which provides a gross indicator of how old this copy of the tool is. When this number falls below 30 days you are presented with some nag text suggesting that you upgrade to a more current version (see Upgrading for details of this process). The tool will continue to work indefinitely after the time period expires, but it is often in your best interest to use the most current tool to have access to the latest features.

OK button Press this button to accept the usage statement and proceed.

2Decline button

Decline button Press this button to decline the usage statement and exit the tool.

4Release

Release The release of the program is shown here. It is also shown in the upper left hand coner of the main window.

5Command Line Arguments

Command Line Arguments Any command line arguments passed to the program by another program (such as command to open a file) will be shown here if the program is initially launching.  
Running the tool from the command line is expected to be an area of future growth.
