Creating new entries...

 

This dialog is displayed as part of the process of creating a new record entry.  This process is started by pressing the Add Record button on the Main Window Screen. Note that the button is only enabled when the Read-Only check box is unchecked (allowing you to change records).

This screen is displayed when creating new record entries for the current table. Enter a numerical value to create a set of (numbered) entries. Press return to create a single entry. This screen is followed by the Name the Entry screen which then requests a basic name for the entries. The new records are then created and merged with records in the current table (using the current alphabetic ordering as well).

 

The value "1" shown above the data entry area is a count of the number of textual characters entered into the dialog. This is used in other dialogs that reuse this same window to allow the user to see how long the name being created will be.


1Edit field

Edit field A numerical value for how many records to create.

2OK button

OK button Accept the value for the number of records entered and go to the Name the Entry dialog.

3Cancel button

Cancel button Cancel the screen, aborting the record creation process.
